Endangered Species!

Hey Everyone! Has anyone adopted this animal yet? Here's some info on it!

Until the early 20th century it was hunted for its fur, but it is now protected throughout its range. Although captive breeding programmes have had only limited success and the Platypus is vulnerable to the effects of pollution, it is not under any immediate threat. The duckbilled platypus is one of the strangest-looking creatures in the world. It looks like a quadruped, or a mammal with four legs, yet it has a beak! It is so unusual that scientists doubted its existence for many years after its discovery. It is most definitely a living creature, however, and one with specific mating habits, physical characteristics and behavioral patterns.
