So this was the message I got back from Stardoll when I sent them the link to my previous post:

WTF? That has nothing to do with what I sent you! Stardoll, it's time for a reality check. WE ARE YOUR CUSTOMERS. WITHOUT US YOU CANNOT EXIST! IF YOU WANT TO KEEP US, YOU NEED TO START TREATING US LIKE CUSTOMERS, NOT GUM ON THE BOTTOM OF YOUR SHOE.
Stardoll, have you noticed how many people have been leaving, including some very famous people? No? Well, then you are just plain dumb or you chose to ignore the fact that how you run your website sucks. It is clear that people are being hacked and all of their rares are being sold for 2 sd... Do you really think they would do that? No way in hell, stardoll. And you are thick enough not to realize that you are losing customers because you refuse to help them when they are hacked. To begin with, there shouldn't even be any issues with security! And to add to all of that, you do even try to stop the hackers! What kinda morons run stardoll?
So that's my rant for the day...
xo,
Zoey
Brava for you and shame on Stardoll. I suppose they think they're covering their asses by having those kinds of rule... which means that every time we use a proxy server, to get those freebies, we really are in danger of having our password stolen.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I always try to use manual proxy, because it is safer.
But that begs the point: Stardoll's security is 20th century, and they at least need to make it a secure site. After all, money is being exchanged. Yes, usually (except when buying Stardollars) it is virtual money, but it is money for which we paid actual cash.
Thanks for not deleting your original post, and for adding on to their response. Security is the issue, and we really should demand better from Stardoll. Period.
